5 things to remember for 'Outdoor Yoga Practice'

Open your heart and don't be scared of outdoor activities!

I used to practice at home and in the studios because it's convenient and comfortable. But when I tried to practice outdoor, many changes happened. I learned to be more aware of the environment, the sound of nature and the earth's moving air.  Let me share to the things that you need to know when you practice outside.

1.) CLEAN and BEAUTIFUL environment Find a spot where is clean and beautiful! Maybe beach, garden or meadow. Make sure it's clean and comfortable.

2.) MAT or NO mat? It depends to your location or to YOU. I always want to have my mat when I practice outside, it makes me feel comfortable and I feel I can move freely. You might enjoy practicing using a bath towel or enjoy the sand or grass, which is perfectly fine.

3.) QUIET and SAFE Make sure the place that you choose is safe. You don't want to practice somewhere just because its quiet like a parking lot or a garage with dangerous equipment, always remember your safety when practicing. Choose a spot in the garden than doesn't have spiky plants or a space by the beach that is not rocky or crowded.

4.) OUTDOOR YOGA CLASSES You can try joining an outdoor yoga classes. They are a bit cheaper than Yoga Studios, most of Outdoor Yoga Classes are donation based classes, it means the money will be sent to foundations or sometimes it's a tribute to a certain occasion, organisation or a person. Just like what we did in Real Yoga, we had an outdoor yoga class to raise donation to a certain foundation and at the same to remember a colleague who passed away.

5.) COMFORT THINGS Make sure you bring extra shirt, towel, umbrella, water or food when you practice outdoor. Comfortable outdoor clothes is always the best!

So far these are the things that you should know when you want to practice outdoor. Feel free to comment and add more information/s!
